Hi There

To answer to part of your question ,the change in depreciation as per useful live is change in estimates and not change in policy , so change in estimates is effected prospectively and not retrospectively, if you were changing depreciation method from straight line method to may be reducing balance method then this would be change in policy and the change is effected retrospectively in this case.

Whether there will be any retrospective impact if company changes its existing depreciation policy and charge depreciation as per useful life?In our BAS they have suggest us to depricated asset as per useful life but they have not specified the useful life of asset.AS far as i am concern Part C schedule II of Company Act 2013(In india) has specified the useful life.it would have been better position for all companies in Bhutan if relevant authority come up with such Issue.Because of lack of information companies are facing the implementation problem
